    • 1 wether

I am Interested!

  • This year we will be kidding in Central Arizona. The kids must be picked up in-person, no shipping is available.

  • Market price for goats with these genetics is $575 per goat-kid (see packgoats.com)

Last year we sold kids for $500 each.

This year we will ask $500 per kid, however we care way more about sending them to the best homes possible- so we are willing to work with you and give deals if you keep siblings together ect.

  • For prospective goat parents we will have a “Goats 101” the weekend of March 4th.

During this course we will show you the ins and outs of goats, including miking, feeding, packing and answering any questions you may have.

Goat Needs

  • A 4- to 5-foot (1.2–1.5 m) fence, electric or metal, is satisfactory for most goats, but must have squares.

Goats are too wily for barbed wire or stranded fencing.

  • Need protection from the elements, a simple shelter made from free pallet wood will suffice.

  • If you are wanting loyal pack goats we recommend bottle feeding. If gosh kids are bottle fed, they can be ready to go to their new homes at 1 week old, however they will need to continue being bottle fed for 3 months. We will sometimes bottle feed for 6 months just to make sure we are giving them all they need to be big strong packers for us for years to come.

    First week: 4x a day
    2nd week- 1 month: 3x a day

If you have milk goats, or a cow, you can feed them that milk. Otherwise you can buy whole milk from the store.

  • we prefer our goats to go to “pack goat homes” where they will get to go on adventures in the mountains.

Our herd goes on foraging walks every day and we prefer to send them to homes that have big pasture areas, will be able to go on walks, or be moved to different grazing areas with an electric fence, ie. won’t spend their lives cooped up in a pen.

If you are looking to introduce some amazing milk and pack genetic into your existing herd, or are looking to start a herd and these sounds like the goats for you- get in touch with us at goats@caprakhan.com
